first impressions

i was thinking yesterday about why i care so much about how others see me..

then i realized, what if in my first impression to the guy who could be the one, i act like a total.. well you know..
what if, because of the first thing I say to him, nothing happens between us. What if because of my attitude, we both miss out on the best experience of our lives..

i know, that seems pretty drastic and unlikely, but shouldn't you treat everyone you meet like that? like they just might turn out to be the best thing to happen to your life.
because what it you dont meet your best friend in the world, all because you are having an off day.
and you wouldn't even know it..

but then. wouldn't you think that the person that you'll will spend your life with will love all your flaws too? not the first time they meet you. they've got to know you first. fall in love with the wonderful things about you. learn the real you, and why you act the way you do.

and then they can accept the small (yes small) irritation details about you.

i guess this all comes back to finding that other person who i'm not afraid to show the real me to. So right now, i have to show my charming side. in hopes that someone will take the bait.
:)

*dont think. just do*

First Impressions are pretty important. I'll be honest I've never actually thought too deeply into that kind of stuff.

Personally, I think there's a bit of room for leeway....if it's the "one" and you do something stupid...God has something arranged to give you a second chance.

Of course it doesn't mean that we're allowed to flip out and be a terd to everyone around us, because that's not who we really are.

I'm really enjoying your thoughts.

No one's perfect but if that person is perfect for you then they'll love the little quirks, differences, irritations about you. Whatever you wanna call them. Just wait. He's out there.
